From Evin Prison to Revolutionary Courts / Saeed Kalanaki's mother unable to meet the prosecutor

Committee of Human Rights Reporters - the mother of Saeed Kalanaki, jailed member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters went to the prosecutor's office to meet with the prosecutor by couldn't do so.

Saeed's mother said:  "After my son was arrested I went to the revolutionary court and Evin Prison but they said his case is not sent to the courts yet. Today I went to the prosecutor's office to meet Mr. Jafari Dolatabadi but I was not able to.  I still wrote a letter and asked for a meeting with my son."

Jafari Dolatabadi, Tehran's prosecutor, had recently said in an interview that meeting with the family is among the fundamental and obvious rights of those arrested.

Saeed Kalanaki and Saeed Jalalifar were arrested in their house in Tehran on 30th of November. These two Human Rights activists had a short contact with their house last Friday to tell them they are being kept at Section 209 of Evin Prison and in solitary cells. They did not mention any information about their charges.

We should remember that based on the law, "torture for confession is banned and the solitary cell is an obvious example of psychological torture."
